It’s been a long time since Les Dogues achieved a significant win. In Marseille their 4-3-3 formation was very different from the previous match after the manager was forced to replace three of the first choice defenders. We can not expect many goals here after both sides have troubles in attack.Lorientcould be in better position, but the bad offensive attitude and the timid performances on the road have killed their ambitions. The Gourcuff’s men act calmer at home and after they have controlled the game againstLyon(for example) we have to assume that with the weaker side would be at least the same.

The crisis in Sochaux is very big and it contrasts with the European appearances in the last season. They have scored only two hits in the last eight encounters for all tournaments and without Maiga the suffering would continue. The pressure became too high and the proximity of the bottom would force them to stop the losing series somehow.

In the last week in Ligue 1 was confirmed thatLyonis not with the same champion’s mentality as in the past years. They were smashed by the fast and vividMontpelierplayers and tried only two shots towards their goal. It means in this moment they are out from the title race. The hosts must take the points to maintain at least the European spot, which is occupied by them right now.

There was pure passion on the field in the last Auxerre’s visit toAjaccio, but less good football. After the team is already involved in the bottom fights we don’t expect underestimation at all. There will be clearance in the squad this winter and eventually two central defenders fromItaly. Olivier Kapo has back in the team, but he hardly would replace properly the missing A. Traore.

Preview: Roda is one of the good home teams, but when it comes to meeting a top side, they do not fight that good. The team is comfortable sitting back and making countermoves, and this most likely will be their game plan for Saturday. The defense however often allows chances and that cannot go unexploited from the good adversaries. 

The motivation of AZ should be sky high after the good result and play versus Ajax. AZ midfield is by far the best in the Netherlands and there are few defenses that could stop Elm, Maher and Co. It will be a huge surprise if AZ fail to take all the points from here.

Preview: NAC were destroyed by Excelsior, and they got a couple of red cards in the game. Here they will be weakened and in low mood. At home they have a good record though and even won over the current leader AZ. Excelsior match will be one story, but here will be a different thing. The home crowd will also make its impact. 

De Graafschap performance against SC Heerenveen was pathetic. Despite playing with a man more, the team was never near creating chances. Poepon is not scoring and also making silly mistakes. De Graafschap have all the prerequisits to go down. And in that sense, a loss here is what is most likely.

Preview: Heracles at home is a  force. Even away from home they play with high line for pressing and fast and potent attacks, but away from hom home they concede lots of goals. Here against Excelsior even conceding lots of goals will not be a problem... The only alert for the Almelo team is their strickers scoring rate of late. 

Excelsior made a huge surprise demolishing NAC 3-0 last week. The team played well and will be in good temper to confront Heracles. Excelsior also plays on artificial turf, so there will not be that huge advantage from this angle. Nevertheless their defense has been atrocious more often than not, and given this the over sign looks more than sure.
